Martin focuses on charitable fundraising, nonprofit law and tax-exempt law. In particular, Martin counsels clients on public charity qualification, charitable and political solicitation, nonprofit governance and fundraising as well as general issues faced by nonprofit organizations.

He has represented clients in various administrative and regulatory matters in most states and has conducted numerous lectures in his areas of expertise. He assists in editing the firm’s publication detailing the governance and regulation of charitable solicitation by third-party fundraisers.

Martin and his family live in the Brookside area of Kansas City. He is a founding member of the Irish Museum Historical Foundation. He is very active in coaching youth sports and enjoys playing golf.
